North route view on Cedar Mountain (elev. 6,215 ft.) in southwestern New Mexico. The barbed wire fence marks the end of the approach. From this point, it is 0.5 miles to the summit with 845 feet of elevation gain. Photo taken 2/3/08.

Does it ever snow in this place? It seems soooo dry here.

Hasn't voted

The desert does see an occasional snowfall -- even the Las Cruces area had snowfall recently in late November below the 4,000-foot level. But yes, it is very dry here; we are the opposite of the Pacific Northwest in that regard.
