On the "flag face route"
Heading up the northern ridge of Bumpari includes dangers like walking knee deep in prayer flags and stumbling over lines. Make sure you get a good footing. Seriously, it's easy to trip and fall in this complete chaos of flags and lines. There are other ways to reach the summit on easier walking paths, but this is for sure a funnier way.
Can you spot the climber?

Thanks!
Yes, a lot of fun and quite an absurd climb. So much flags all over the peak.

never to step on or over prayer flags - always go under them. So how are you supposed to navigate this maze? Or is my presumption mistaken?

I also thought the locals were more strict and careful on this issue, but there seems to be no rules about it. I've even seen Tibetans sneaking around the corner of prayer flag shrines taking a pee.

These guys were all over the place, climbing on and under the flags, just like we did.
