Rick Hanners and I had a bear following us around in 2001 -- he wrote a story about it in the August 2001 HH news, "Following the bears up Blackfoot" or something like that.

I think there is fair amount of bear activity in this area in the late summer.

At first I thought the tracks were made by crampons, but upon closer inspection it was obvious that a bear had passed in our direction earlier that morning
