The crux of the Peternpfad is...
The crux of the Peternpfad is the so called "Ennstaler Schritt" (Ennstaler step). Though it's not difficult (-II), it's very exposed, and if I go with unexperienced people, I take a rope with me for them. This is a real climb, no steel ropes or iron handholds. The mountain in the background is Admonter Reichenstein, on the left side of the foto the base of Festkogel northwestface is visible.

With my wife we enjoyed it last year. Very nice and much better that it is not spoiled with iron.
