Voted 10/10 | The dominant landmark of Portland never ceases to give me a lift when I see it (first from the east as I head west, then a totally different view from the west)

Hasn't voted | Yeah, it's hard to believe from this perspective that it sits what .... 50 miles away? It looks like it's just on the east side of town.
I remember reading in a book (before I moved to Oregon, when I was checking it out) that Portland would likely be safe but our water supply, Bull Run, would be destroyed. So, I guess it would still be a freaking mess for Portland. Something to think about when you get up to the Hogsback and smell the sulfur from those vents, eh?
