Voted 10/10 | was it worth climbing Hocharn with ski in August? For me June was already too less snow. Did you just take the picture in this part of a second when your fellow fell into a crevasse?! Hasn't voted | 1. Yes it was worth climbing Hocharn in August. After heavy snow falls it was possible to ski until the end of Pilatus Kees which makes a vertical distance of 1000m (better skiing down than walking :)) As I love skiing I would have done it for less too.
2. It is me on the photo and the photo was just taken in the second when I broke through.
3. I had luck, I was too fast to fall into the crevasse.
4. Consider this was 13 years ago when I was a poor student who couldn´t aford expensive sportswear, we also didn´t know anything about Goretex. | | Posted Jan 17, 2004 1:35 pm |
