| Going-to-the-Sun from Gould | [ Sizes: Orig | Large | Med | Small | Thumb ] | |||
From left to right, flank of Siyeh, Mataphi, Going-to-the-Sun, Piegan and Pollock, flank of Pollock and the Garden Wall. In the center of the photo, Cataract Mountain's side is traversed by The Piegan Pass Trail as it heads from Siyeh Bend to the Many Glacer Hotel. A sea of peaks are seen in the background. Taken in August 2004 by FlatheadNative. Fred Spicker pointed out the shifting of the diorite sill on the large northwest face of Cataract. To view the geology enlarge this photo to maximum size and look at the face of Cataract. Comments |
