The Continental Divide Trail passes close by the summit of Burro Peak (elev. 8,030 ft.) in the Big Burro Mountains near Silver City, New Mexico. This is a view of the summit from the trail. Although there are no views from the summit, getting there involves a nice 9-mile RT hike from the south on the Continental Divide Trail. The approach from the north on the CDT is shorter, about 6 miles RT. Photo taken 3/15/08.
