The summit of Hallet Peak as...

The summit of Hallet Peak as seen from near the summit of Flattop Mountain. This herd of bighorn sheep were my only companions on the summit this cold and windy day (January 19, 2004).

Them Bighorn were pretty close

Were they waiting for handouts like the rest of the zoo ani... oops.... wildlife there in RMNP.

This was about as close as they'd let me get. I came from off the left side of the photo with the wind howling into my face so I was able to kind of sneak up on them un-heard and un-smelt. Then I wanted to circle around them so I could get Hallett in the background. About this time they got wise to me and headed off the side of the mountain.
