Spiderman route on Spiderman... [ Sizes: Orig | Small | Thumb ]
 Spiderman route on Spiderman...
Spiderman route on Spiderman Buttress. Though the route is normally done in two pitches (first two shown here are normally combined), three pitches are shown here for the purposes of future route variation info. additions (pitch one as shown here has 3 different options). Pitch 1 (yellow) is a low angle 5.6 crack/groove to a doubly bolted anchor. Pitch 2 (whitish) is a dihedral with a 5.7 bulge (crux of the route) and ends at another bolted anchor. Pitch 3 steps right from the belay (5.7 move) and follows a finger crack (5.6) to the roof. The pitch then bypasses the roof on its right side (5.7 lieback move) to reach easy (though loose!) ground above. The route finishes atop The Buttress at a bolted anchor (January 17, 2004).
