In Terrace Canyon [ Sizes: Orig | Med | Small | Thumb ]
In Terrace Canyon
Terrace Canyon on March 24, 2008.

Terrace Canyon is one of the side canyons deep in the South Fork of Pine Creek. You will scramble up the huge boulders to get there. It is a lot of fun in a beautiful scenery. Look around for Bighorn Sheep peeking at you from the cliffs.
Red Rocks, Nevada.

I love Terrace Canyon. One of the first canyons I visited after moving to Las Vegas.

Thanks. It's a very pleasant hike to there. I really recommend it if you ever need a short break from climbing ;) Cheers.

Thank you. There are several small pools there and waterfalls. If only you could hear them as well.

Who said there is no water in the desert. You are like me you will go on a crazy hike in the desert to find the pools and waterfalls in the desert . I will hike 20 miles to find ice in the mountains in the summer

Jerry, that sounds like me hiking some crazy miles through the open desert to find an obscure peak. It's very addictive. Greetings, AJ.

Thanks. I totally agreee. It's not always easy to find water in the desert. Red Rocks gets quite a bit of it in spring from the snow melt but now everything is pretty dry. Cheers.
