Strange to post a map for a profile pic you might ask. Yes, but this was my first decent effort of the season and it was a great workout. Close to 8 miles and 4200 feet of elevation gain on a "bump" on the west side of Mt. Timpanogos which helps to give perspective to the massiveness of that mountain. At 9000 feet, this "bump" would be higher than most the mountains of Washington and Oregon. We were in snow from 7200 feet on. My thanks to SP member Eric Willhite who partnered up on this one and slowed his pace down to accomodate mine.
Eric hails from the northwest just like me and is enjoying Utah just like I am.

"As an adolescent I aspired to lasting fame, I craved factual certainty, and I thirsted for a meaningful vision of human life - so I became a scientist. This is like becoming an archbishop so you can meet girls."   --M. Cartmill
