My first impression was "Looks like travertine."

But whipped cream works for me, too. Excellent shot!

Thanks. I got the Canon S50. I like its manual controls and extra pixels for cropping and post-processing. It also has a much faster response than my old HP camera. Now that I'm viewing and processing photos with an LCD screen, I've noticed that all my previous photos look noisy and oversharpened. Photos on CRT monitors seem blurry and overly soft to me now.

Great photos! I also just purchased the Canon S-50 recently, and I was curious what function or control you were using for your photos? I'm still learning everything...there's just so much the camera can do!

I took this photo focused at infinity with aperture priority set to f/8. Before posting it, I did some noise reduction, messed with levels to improve contrast, resampled it, and finally applied some unsharp masking.

No crowds and good weather plus your new camera makes for an outstanding photo. Well done. Got any more? I never get tired of pics like this.

Some numbnut voted this with less than 4 stars which kicked it off of the Photos page so I just noticed this. Awesome shot.
