Mtn Goat roaming in the Olympics. Mt Duckabush and Mt Steel rise in the distance above the North Fork of the Skokomish River Valley. The glacial mass of Mt Olympus can be seen in the middle on the horizon.

It certainly does not appear to be a well-groomed goat (judged by the scruffy hair)...LOL.
Were you that close or did you use a zoom?

Yeah, he was an old goat, and I was pretty close. If I had used the zoom then you could have seen the scar on his shoulder where he fell once;) Thanks for the comment:)

goats are fantastic, they almost remind me to the Yeti, Ibexes here in the alps are very different.

Thank you! I just followed this herd of 18 goats around up on the ridgeline and they kept posing for great shots! It was a photographer's paradise, complete with the backdrop of the Olympic Mtns:)

Thanks for the comment:) Yeah, it was in the early morning, just after sunrise, and this old patriarch was rambling around with the herd enjoying the Olympic high country. I was just happy to get him in an action shot with the mtns behind him.

Thanks for the comment. Well, I'd say that right now this area is under a good 10 feet of snow, atleast. This was taken in July of last year, late July, 26th. Thanks for stopping by:)
