Our starting point, 3 miles down river from the Lake Constance trailhead.
Olympic National Forest, 9/10/2007. Already 80 degrees Fahrenheit.

Voted 10/10 | That's not the western Washington I
remember, when I explored the Cascades
and Lena Lakes back in the 1980s. Yes,
I experienced a few washouts along the
West Side Road in Mt. Rainier NP, but
nothing like you folks are experiencing
TODAY. I just keep praying that Rainier
doesn't decide to erupt anytime soon.
That would be a major catastrophe for
western Washington; including the
'South Hill' area of Puyallup. :-)
(On second thought, wouldn't be so bad
to eliminate a few of those shopping
centers and traffic congestion!)
