Proghorn Antelope are [ Sizes: Orig | Large | Med | Small | Thumb ]
Proghorn Antelope are
one of the nice aspects of the western utah desert Mountains. Along with wild horse, domestic cattle and smaller critters, these are the gem of the area.
I saw probably a dozen or more and one raced alongside my truck for awhile as I was driving out. This one was kind enough to pose for me out near the Pony Express road on a trip to Indian Peaks, a couple days after I visited Cedar. For more information on Proghorn Antelope, click this link.

lcarreauA bit confused ...

Voted 10/10

So, this was taken out by
Indian Peak? Great camera
angle! In regards to the
Cedar Mtns. - did you see
Hastings Pass from the west?
I wonder if there's any old
artifacts lying around from
the days the pioneers went
across. Great work, Dean!!

Yes, just north of Indian Peaks. I tried to get some shots of proghorns on my visit to the Cedars but I had no luck. I included this one to the Cedar page as a symbolic gesture. I didn't look for Hastings Pass although I saw the road that headed up that way. Someday it'd be neat to completely circle the Cedar range by going over Hastings Pass on the north and Rydalch pass on the south. Thanks Larry.
