Hasn't voted | Thanks for your comment! The couloir is sustained 40 degrees, with a short section near the top of 45-50 degrees. I don't have a problem carrying my Whippet during descent and usually have my axe and other trekking pole attached to my pack...unless it is nothing but ice then I descend with my ice ace in hand.
