MOUNT FORAKER (17,400') RISING ABOVE THE RUTH GLACIER RAMPARTS
THIS IMAGE OF MOUNT FORAKER (17,400') WAS TAKEN FROM OUR CESSNA FLYING IN AND AROUND THE HIGH PEAKS OF THE ALASKA RANGE. THE COLOURS AND LIGHTING WERE VERY UNIQUE AND STRIKING. THIS IMAGE WAS TAKEN ON JULY, 2007.

Our pilot, with many years of experience in the area, positively identified the peak as Foraker, from a rather unusual angle.

what's with the pink color in the sky? Maybe an artifact from a polarizer on the camera looking through the airplane window? I can't figure this one out.

claudioNCUnnatural at all, but real and credible ...

...through a hardware filter, like an enhancer/colorized polarizer or also with a normal polarizer only inside the airplain with special filtered glass.
Nevertheless the image is really nice and ... artistic.
