If you go left (west) from this sign on an old 2 lane jeep track, it is less than a mile to the top of G Mountain. However, most of it is downhill so assuming you will return the same way, plan on regaining some elevation on the return. Just to your right and out of this picture, is a junction with the Timpanooeke 4WD road. The path that is behind this pic seems to be rather new (like the sign) and is a pleasant part of the hike which will take you back to Indian Campground/Grove Creek Springs.
