No, there really isn't a trail up the SE ridge but this is as close as you get to a trail at the start. You reach the Case Memorial Bench on the Grove Creek Trail at the 2.10 mile mark and twenty feet past the bench, you'll look uphill and see this. Yup, go straight up. If you look at THIS PIC, you will see where this is (circle of red marks the beginning of the SE Ridge route)
