I've seen these on a few of Utah's peaks and they were used for triangulation back in the day. I found two witness benchmarks but the central one was gone. I also felt that the spot just to my left might be a bit higher than the rock(s) udner the triangulation tower. You can see I-15 to the left and this shot was taken looking to the south. 6-14-08
