Hasn't voted | Yes, they tend to be found on the higher mountains of Scotland due to the Arctic-like landscape. Have heard them a number of times, but this was the first time I've ever had the pleasure with the naked eye.

Voted 10/10 | Hey Stephen, I don't think this is a White-tailed Ptarmigan, as far as I know they are only found in the Americas. I think it's far more likely to be a rock ptarmigan (Lagopus mutus), it looks more like one too.
