Ken found a trail of footprints that confirmed our compass bearings.
We were to find out later that they were made by four Basque climbers who were staying in the same refugio. They took a different route to us, starting at the Hospital de Benasque and following the Ball de Remune before crossing to the Collado Ubaga where the trails joined up.
