South Fork of West Bellows Creek [ Sizes: Orig | Large | Med | Small | Thumb ]
South Fork of West Bellows Creek
This is your last reliable source of water, just past the official entrance to Wheeler. You don't have to carry water from E. Bellows Creek, unless you want to (they are 6 miles apart or so). There are 2 very small seasonal streams near the shelter cabin that may or may not be flowing - don't count on them! As of June 21, 2008, during a heavy snow year and with snow still visible up high, the western seasonal stream was barely flowing, and the eastern one was disappearing into the dirt/sand.
