Bristlecone Pines only live in scattered, arid mountain regions of six western states of America. They grow at and just below the tree line.

Nice Bristlecone photo! There's been some
talk about macro-lens photography not being
an art-form on Summitpost. I disagree with that! Surely, all a person has to do is
determine for themselves what they FEEL is a
good, quality photograph.

That's WHY I look at your photos so much!

Hello Larry. This is actually not a macro. When photographing large trees from a distance there is no need for macro lenses.
I love a good marco challenge though (especially tiny birds and fast reptiles because they are the hardest to get close to).
