Peak 8295 [ Sizes: Orig | Large | Med | Small | Thumb ]
Peak 8295
Seen from the summit ridge on North Choteau. From certain positions, this mountain and North Choteau seem almost like twins. In fact, with all the fog swirling about on the day I climbed North Choteau, this view had me wondering (and afraid) if I'd climbed the wrong mountain. I had to meticulously study my map and the surrounding terrain to assure myself I hadn't really goofed.

Enlarge this for what I think is a truly spectacular perspective of what this part of Montana is all about.

"As an adolescent I aspired to lasting fame, I craved factual certainty, and I thirsted for a meaningful vision of human life - so I became a scientist. This is like becoming an archbishop so you can meet girls."   --M. Cartmill
