Old Cabin [ Sizes: Orig | Med | Small | Thumb ]
Old Cabin
It was somewhat startling to happen across this old cabin literally right off the trail in the upper basin. It did not look too old but maybe it was old enough to have been built before the High Uintas Wilderness was created.

I'm not sure how long that cabin has been there, but last August it was occupied by three basque sheepherders. I came back that way from Lake Blanchard, herding my scout troop. Luckily, I speak spanish, so we had a good conversation. They were running about 1200 head of sheep up there last summer. Yeah, it was noisy. I'm sure they'll be back. Great location though huh?
