Western blue flax [ Sizes: Orig | Med | Small | Thumb ]
Western blue flax
Western blue flax, found in the upper Lamar Valley along the Lamar River Trail. We didn't see a lot of this in Yellowstone. One of my field guides says it's a flower of the Great Plains and foothills. In that case, the elevation here (about 6600 feet) may be on the high side for this flower.
