Monkey Face from the...

Monkey Face from the northeast. (1) indicates the Spring Board (variation of pitch three of West Face Variation route ends there); (2) indicates the Monkey's Mouth Cave on the Pioneer Route; (3) is the location of the rap bolts on the NE edge of Bohn Street (note the 4th class terrain below - more exposed than the photo suggests); and (4) indicates the notch you pass on either pitch two of the Pioneer Route or pitch three (from opposite side) of the West Face Variation Route (standard). Photo taken on Feb. 14, 2004.

Springboard on West Face?

Uh, as you can see here, the Springboard is not on the same formation as Monkey Face. It has nothing to do with the West Face Variation route. Kinda obvious, I guess - I wonder what the OP was trying to say?

Re: Springboard on West Face?

From top of p2 of w face variation, you can either finish on bohn st or on the springboard.
