Looking south
at the Aquarius plateau, another high elevation plateau that is a feature of this part of Utah. The lakes are found on that plateau along with Bluebird Knoll. This shot was taken from the 'summit'.

lcarreauMy brother was

Voted 10/10

on the Aquarius Plateau a few weeks ago. Was
probably before the CA fires, so had a clearer
view. This vast meadow is beautiful. It reminds me of the Markagunt Plateau in the Panguitch Lake area. Nice shot despite the haze, Dean!!!

If it were me, I'd have the sudden urge to
go out to that patch of white and make a
snow angel!!

Larry, that is an amazing area considering it is 11000 feet. I'm still amazed by the trees and vegetation at that elevation since in Washington State, everything above 8000 is rock and ice. The haze to the south (in this shot) was not a problem but it was to the east and to the west. Weird. Thanks for your comments.
