Looking down the descent...
Looking down the descent route on the north side of the Amphitheater (bottom left). The tiny black outcrop near the Amphitheater bowl is skirted on the right. This area is very loose. Tread with care so as not to dislodge any rocks. The gray wash where the climb begins can also be seen in the lower left. Cimarron Valley below, Sneffels Range upper left, looking west. Precipice Peak, San Juan Mountains, Summer, 2003.

"This is blood for blood and by the gallon. These are the old days, the bad days, the all-or-nothing days. They're back! There's no choice left. And I'm ready for war."   --Marv, Sin City
