Angelus Vicia, 5.10a [ Sizes: Orig | Large | Med | Small | Thumb ]
Angelus Vicia, 5.10a
5th Pitch- 45m- 5.10a/ Maybe the best pitch overall. Move left into a corner and follow it up to the crux move protected by a bolt below an overhang. Continue up a steep, but protectable, broken corner. The rock will start to deteriorate. A slight nudge with your elbow or knee will send loose rock flying down past your belayer. Look to move right out onto a comfortable belay ledge that turns the corner. A single bolt can be found to help build your anchor just around the arĂȘte.
Angelus Vicia, 5.10a, 8 Pitches, Phantom Tower, South Ghost, Ghost Wilderness Area, Canadian Rockies, July, 2008

""You cannot stay on the summit forever; you have to come down again. So why bother in the first place? Just this: What is above knows what is below, but what is below does not know what is above. One climbs, one sees. One descends, one sees no longer, but one has seen. There is an art of conducting oneself in the lower regions by the memory of what one saw higher up. When one can no longer see, one can at least still know.""   --Rene Daumal
