Mummies from Mount Ida [ Sizes: Orig | Large | Med | Small | Thumb ]
Mummies from Mount Ida
A view northeast from Mount Ida. Foreground is the northeast buttress of Ida, which guards the Gorge Lakes below (not visible).

Center ground from left to right is Trail Ridge, with Trail Ridge Road, the highest paved through road in the United States (12,183 feet). Parts of Forest Canyon are visible between Ida and Trail Ridge.

Background is the start of the Mummy Range, with Mount Chapin, Chiquita Mountain and Ypsilon Mountain stacked up one after another. It's easy to see in this picture how the CCY route connects the summits of these three Mummies.

Photo taken at the end of June 2008.
