Pacaya's volcanoe is a wonderful place to see lava fluid safety. Easy to climb, expectaculars views and very close to Guatemala city.

Hasn't voted | Strangely enough I happened to be doing this at Pacaya about 3 months after I wrote my first comment there, wasn't expecting to be going to Guatemala at the time. And indeed the lava was super hot, my colleague's phone that I was carrying in my pocket actually stopped working as a result of hanging out so close.
