On the winter approach to Chair, one passes tiny Source Lake (3,750 ft). Water that flows from this "source" goes down the South Fork Snoqualmie River, over Snoqualmie Falls, combines with the Snohomish River near Monroe, and finally empties into the Puget Sound at Everett. Feb. 22, 2004.
