Gorski kotar flora - Prenanthes purpurea [ Sizes: Orig | Med | Small | Thumb ]
Gorski kotar flora - Prenanthes purpurea
Prenanthes purpurea, locally known as Gorcika (written with caron atop c and spelled Ghorcheekah)
is widespread perennial herb with purple florets.

Gorcika flowers May-September mostly in the woods
rather then on the open meadows.
This is the only Prenanth that can be found in GK.

I am not aware of any common English name, however,
a similar (or same?) white colored plant is said to be known in North America as Rattlesnake root, name due to its efficacy in curing the bite of rattlesnakes.

Here's capture from Wikipedia commons, giving us idea about the size of the flower
