Summit of Ishinca [ Sizes: Orig | Large | Med | Small | Thumb ]
Summit of Ishinca
Last few steps. To the summit at 7:15am. In the far valley below, you can see a square open patch. That's where we were meeting our cab driver at 4pm.
Roundtrip to Ishinca from taxi to taxi unassisted:
30 hours, 34 miles, 7,500 vertical feet. A nice quickie before leaving Peru.

It is such a beautiful climb, and so many beautiful mountains around.... Looks like a lot of fresh snow. What time of the year did you climb it?

"...Climb if you will, but remember that courage and strength are nought without prudence, and that a momentary negligence may destroy the happiness of a lifetime. Do nothing in haste; look well to each step; and from the beginning think what may be the end."   --Edward Whymper
