Thanks Bill! I can't lie -- it was a very overcast day, so the lighting was perfect for a photo like this.

I'm always a fan of long exposure shots of moving water. This one looks great. Do you know how I can get a long exposure on my point and shoot digital camera?

Some point and shoots allow you to manually control shutter speed and aperture. Not knowing what kind of camera you have, I'm not sure if that would work for you or not. A tripod is also a must for any longer exposure shots.

Thanks Yatsek. As much as I love the Appalachians, i still envision being full-time in the Rockies at some point in the future.

LOL That's just like me: for years I've been living near the Sudetes but now I'm planning on moving into the Carpathians.
Good luck!

Thanks! I just happened to be there when the lighting was perfect (bright overcast day) for a shot like that.

As in many of your shots, you captured the movement perfectly!

Thanks for the positive feedback. Being in the Southern Appalachians where there is a ton of water, I really enjoy photos of mountain rivers/streams. This one just happened to be in Colorado and not the Southeast.
