Aaron Johnson is a dot in the center of the photo during an ascent of the notorious "great slope" section on the South Ridge route of South Maroon Peak. This entire slope is a super-wide bowling alley of falling rocks. Wear your helmet beginning at the base of the mountain, and do not remove it until you return to the base of the mountain!
