Pyramid Peak, Green Couloir [ Sizes: Orig | Large | Med | Small | Thumb ]
Pyramid Peak, Green Couloir
The Green Couloir is the largest obstacle feature of the northeast ridge route on Pyramid Peak. Once the couloir is engaged, it's a couple hundred feet of exposed Class 3 and 4 climbing, and the holds are covered in rubble and get progressively smaller as you climb. It's fun climbing, but not recommended for folks with exposure issues! A good descent route to watch for that avoids about half of the Green Couloir is a red couloir to the north. Watch for it! We used it and it worked well.
