Pyramid Peak [ Sizes: Orig | Large | Med | Small | Thumb ]
Pyramid Peak
Pyramid Peak's north face is visible on the left, with South and North Maroon seen in the background, and then the Sexton. The light colored mountains in the distance are Snowmass and Capitol, both difficult 14ers of the Elk Range. All of these peaks are considered Colorado's "finishing school" of mountains, as they are the most difficult, dangerous and challenging of the Colorado 14ers to climb. We were treated to this dramatic view during our descent of Pyramid Peak.
