Tushar Mountains high country. [ Sizes: Orig | Med | Small | Thumb ]
Tushar Mountains high country.
As I was in my truck driving up to summit Delano and Belknap, I got to the pass and about died. After bland forests and fauna this view was reached. This was the first trip of the season and after the monotony of work and regular life this refreshing environment left me speechless. I had to sit there for a while absorb the area before continuing onward. This photo was taken at the pass between Belknap and Delano at 11,550 feet. IIRC this pass is the highest altitude a land based vehicle can reach in Utah.

Amazing picture! The landscape of the Tushar's are really amazing. Mount Belknap has some amazing colors to it!

It sure is. I went up the ridge in the right of the picture, a lot of the scree is about the size of a fist and has the consistency of ball bearings. Really slippery stuff!
