Rollerball [ Sizes: Orig | Large | Med | Small | Thumb ]
Rollerball
Considering frequent earthquakes in California, you would think this rock would roll right down into the second lake of the Big Pine Creek. I've been watching it for the past thirty years, but I'm sure it has been sitting there for the past ten thousand years when the last ice age ended.

I love that you've been watching it for 30 years and can share that it's been there patient the whole time! Very cool Mr. Marc.

Thank you Claire. You seem to have a tallent for picking out one of my more unusual photos. I am glad this photo has ended up on the first page of my collection, and your vote goes a long way to keeping it there.
Thank you for the visit and the votes,
Marc

That's a popular boulder. It's been photographed a lot. I believe a few people have even attempted to trundle the thing.

I hope no one would even try to trundle it.
I like it to stay just where it is for another 10,000 yrs.

That'll fix it. No more watching for the next thirty. Actually, I love erratics and this is a great example of one.

To tell you the truth, Dean, I don't mind watching this guy for another thirty. I would love to be able to do the six mile hike for another 30.
Thanks for checking it out,
cheers,
Marc
