JENNINGS CREEK TO WEST RIDGE ROUTE

This route starts out on the old Jennings Creek Route trail, but avoids the severely damaged tundra slopes that led to the permanent closure of the original Jennings Creek route. Once out of the aspen grove, the route continues north up the Jennings Creek drainage to the saddle just east of Carbonate Mountain, then veers east to assume the west ridge of Tabeguache Peak, which is followed to the summit.

RED DASHES: Original route as plotted
RED: Route as executed and described on SP
BLACK & YELLOW: Former Jennings Creek Route
BLUE: Optional ascent (do not descend)

Please respect our mountains! DO NOT ASCEND OR DESCEND THE OLD JENNINGS CREEK ROUTE. The alpine tundra there has been irreparably damaged.
