Waiparous Tower, 5.8 [ Sizes: Orig | Large | Med | Small | Thumb ]
Waiparous Tower, 5.8
4th Pitch- 30m- 5.7/ Climb directly above the belay on bomber sticky limestone but without a ton of pro options. As you angle somewhat left, you climb the left arĂȘte for a short period taking advantage of a piton before moving drastically out right along a narrow ledge. One or two tough moves at the end for the grade (avoiding the worst rock further right) and you will be at the summit.

""You cannot stay on the summit forever; you have to come down again. So why bother in the first place? Just this: What is above knows what is below, but what is below does not know what is above. One climbs, one sees. One descends, one sees no longer, but one has seen. There is an art of conducting oneself in the lower regions by the memory of what one saw higher up. When one can no longer see, one can at least still know.""   --Rene Daumal
