The thunder clouds dampened the colors a bit but the fall colors were
beautiful.

Voted 10/10 | Very pretty color contrast. I'm amazed at how the southwest has so many fall colors. | | Posted Sep 30, 2008 10:33 am |

Hasn't voted | So am I. Having spent most of my life in the northwest, the amazing impact of aspens and some of the other rocky mountain types of trees make fall a beautiful canvas. Of course, my favorite tree is the alpine larch and this is the time of year when I miss them the most. Thank you. | | Posted Sep 30, 2008 12:43 pm |

Voted 10/10 | Every time you show a photo of the West Desert
or the Wasatch, there's a foreboding looking
"thunderhead cloud" somewhere in the photograph. If this is any indication of what
kind of Winter Utah will be receiving, I'll
just have to gather up my X-country skis and
mail them up to Salt Lake City. Hopefully,
I'll eventually meet up with my skis in the
future, so I can enjoy some of that precious
white cold stuff. Beautiful picture, Dean!!!

Hasn't voted | Yeah, thunderheads are part of the backdrop sometimes. Of course, I've gotten off peaks in arizona just ahead of a big one. We may get two feet of snow in the upper Wasatch tonight.
Its rained heavily here all day. Thanks for the picture comment. Mt. Moriah is a cool area. | | Posted Oct 4, 2008 11:22 pm |

Voted 10/10 | I just heard about the snow on GMA (Good
Morning America).
Seems early - at that rate, the "glacier"
clinging to the north (east) side of Timp should be very happy. At least I would think so...
