I just go t back from Bipeng Valley via Lixian and had a similar view, but deep snow prevented us from getting so close. Did you walk over from Changping Valley or go in from the Lixian side? These Mts are becoming very accessible due to new roads; I believe they will also be of great interest to mountaineers looking for new alpine routes.

At once, I overlooked the Bipeng Valley from the pass (4644m) whicth leads to the Changping Valley.
I quite agree that Bipeng Valley is similar this photo ( Chiwen Gorge). Now, half way of the Bipeng Valley is accessible by car.
If you take the route what from Bipeng Valley to Shuangquio, you will see more beautiful mountains at the pass (4768m).
