Glacier NP - Grinnell Glacier Trail [ Sizes: Orig | Large | Med | Small | Thumb ]
Glacier NP - Grinnell Glacier Trail
On the Grinnell Glacier Trail, July 31, 2005

View of Grinnell Lake, about 1/3 of the way to the glacier

Almost to the point where the trail turns away from the lakes
and starts to head directly toward the glacier

lcarreauWhat makes this

Voted 10/10

awesome is you can "zoom in" to the bridge
and the two people walking along what looks to
be a sandbar. This is truly amazing.

What "group" do you belong to? Is it a youth
group?? The color of the water tells me
there's a glacier nearby. Nice photography!!!

I was travelling with a part of my Boy Scout troop composed of older Scouts during a two week trip out west. The lake is Grinnell Lake which receives water from Grinnell Glacier and perhaps, Salamander Glacier; I'm not sure. You can walk from the boat across to meet the trail or across to other trails around the lakes here. It's a popular area but the beauty is outstanding! Thank you so much for asking.---Kathy

Yeah, there's nothing quite like it elsewhere.
And thank you for the nice words!

I see you've done some traveling to great places particularly in Central America. I've got to get there someday!
