I spent the first 2 weeks of June this year at the Longmire campground for job training. I tried to summit several times and was thwarted by lots of snow, horrible weather (constant snow, fog, and rain), and no snowshoes. It was only 3.5 miles away from me then. Now... about 2000 miles away. Oh well. If I ever get back I'll do it in August.
