LOL! You crazy Canadians! That looks insane. Thanks for sharing the pic.

Hi Sarah. Not too insane - see the response to Dean below. But it depends on what you're used to. I can see some of our European SPers with their cable car assisted approaches and all-mod-cons palatial huts (red or white wine with dinner madame?) being rather mystified by this photo and, indeed, the whole TR.

Give me the wilds of Vancouver Island any time!

Cheers,

Martin

Deannot so crazy...

That reminds me of a road Bob Bolton and I took on Yainax Peak (oregon) and one Dennis Poulin and I took in Idaho and another in Nevada. Yeah, I now have tons of scratches on my Tacoma. Of course, that is why I drive a Tacoma. I love pics like this...

You're quite right Dean. Crazy "roads" aren't the exclusive domain of Vancouver Island. Although this one was heavily choked with alder, the surface was not too bad at all. None of the huge cross ditches that the logging companies leave in order to discourage travel.

Foliage scratches are something you have to live with. Having said that, I love my 4Runner (not the truck in this shot) and after every approach road like this one, am out there buffing away with a mild abrasive polish. My wife thinks I'm pathetic and, as always, she's right.
